Dink The Halls

On December 7th and 8th, 2024, Reisel Rackets hosted Dink the Halls pickleball tournament at Dill Dinkers indoor pickleball club in Lansdale, PA. The tournament had 150+ registered participants aged 11-70+ playing throughout the weekend.  On Saturday, women’s doubles players competed in 2.5-3.0 and 3.0-3.5 brackets and the men’s doubles players competed in 3.0-3.5 and 3.5-4.0 brackets. Sunday was mixed doubles play for 3.0-3.5 and 3.5-4.0 players. Although some participants were seasoned tournament players, many players revealed this was their first tournament experience – and they cannot wait for the next Reisel Rackets tournament. Winners of each bracket were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals and other pickleball-themed swag for their championship efforts.
Several national businesses were sponsors for Dink the Halls, including Franklin Sports (an official partner of USA Pickleball and an industry leader in premium paddles and the Franklin X-40 ball),  Tifosi Optics (a company with a stated mission to provide technically advanced eye wear to enthusiasts of all sports and outdoor activities, including pickleball) and MyPadl, (creator and originator of customizable paddle bands to identify your paddle in a paddle rack).

In the holiday spirit, Dink the Halls partnered with civic leader Philabundance, a vital nonprofit whose mission is to drive hunger from local communities by distributing food throughout the region through aligned agencies. Participants were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the tournament in support of the Philabundance Food Drive. In addition, a raffle was available for participants to purchase tickets for the chance to win a variety of pickleball paddles including from Selkirk, Paddletek and Franklin and donated pickleball paddles from the Philadelphia Phillies (featuring the Phillies Phanatic) and the Philadelphia Flyers (featuring Gritty).  Through the generosity of our participants, with donated food items, and money raised through the sale of raffle tickets, Reisel Rackets donated the equivalent of 2,000 lbs of food.

Dink The Halls was a fun, successful weekend of pickleball tournament play and charitable giving.
